Dot is a highly respected educator, administrator, and community advocate with more than 30 years of distinguished experience in education, youth development, family engagement, and community empowerment. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to helping children, families, and underserved communities achieve greater educational success, personal growth, and long-term socioeconomic advancement.
Known for her compassionate leadership, calm demeanor, and ability to inspire positive change, Dot has consistently demonstrated a unique gift for building trust and fostering meaningful relationships with students, parents, educators, and community stakeholders. Her work has been particularly impactful among youth facing behavioral,
emotional, and social challenges, where her patience, empathy, and mentorship have helped countless young people overcome obstacles and realize their potential.
As a certified educational leader, Dot has served in teaching, administrative, and therapeutic support roles, where she successfully led initiatives focused on academic achievement, family engagement, workforce readiness, and personal development. During her tenure with Children’s Place, she played a vital role as a member of the therapeutic team, providing structure, guidance, compassion, and support to children and families navigating complex challenges. She has also facilitated numerous parenting workshops, helping single mothers develop effective behavioral management strategies, strengthen family relationships, and better understand workforce expectations and opportunities.
Beyond the classroom, Dot has remained deeply engaged in community service and leadership. She has served as a community facilitator working directly with families to identify needs, access resources, and build stronger support systems. She has also delivered digital literacy training to community residents and serves as a volunteer youth leadership and summer camp instructor, teaching leadership principles, character development, life skills, and faith-based values to future generations.
