It is my great pleasure to announce the 25th Annual Supermarket Shopper Poetry Competition. As unusual entertainment, the Poetry Competition was a success from the very start. Each year my readers have penned thousands of poems on almost every imaginable supermarket or grocery product experience. Whether you feel strongly about standing in the express lane, or feeding your family, or making ends meet, the competition is a opportunity to put your thoughts, emotions, and perhaps your sense of humor, into verse. Here are the Competition Rules: Just one poem per reader, please. The poem should be no more than 300 words in length. All entries must be submitted in the e-mail form below. All entries must be sent by Monday, February 1, 2010. I promise to read every poem submitted. The winners will be announced in March. I will publish the first-, second-, and third-prize winners on this website. The first-place poem earns the poet $100. The second-place winner receives $50, and the third, fourth and fifth-place winners will each receive my BOGO! Book. Whether or not your poem is a winner, I am sure you will enjoy the creative experience. Use this form to submit your entry:
